Hey everyone, it's Laure live from Luz' with the recap of Rampage from November 8, 2024 !

The show opened for the second week in a row with a match featuring Hakiru Shida. This time, she faced Leila Grey, and although the bout felt more intense this time around, Shida continued her streak with another win, gaining even more momentum.
In an interview, Harley Cameron was asked about her confrontation with Mina Shirakawa at Collision: “You know what she has that I don’t? NOTHING!” Cameron went on to say that Mina may be beautiful and talented, but can she do this? At that moment, Cameron whipped out a guitar and started performing a little song. I loved Renee Paquette standing awkwardly next to her with the mic, unsure of how to react. Eventually, Renee cut Cameron off, informing her they were out of time.
Mark Briscoe made his way to the ring for his match against Ariya Daivari of Premier Athletes, who, of course, was accompanied by Mark Sterling. Naturally, little Mark (not Briscoe, obviously) decided to cause trouble by interfering in the match. But who showed up to set things straight? Rocky Romero, who knocked Sterling off the apron in seconds, tossed a chair to Briscoe, allowing him to execute his signature dive. Briscoe then followed up with his corner Elbow Drop, sealing the victory.
No time to breathe, though, because Rocky Romero was already in place for his match against Komander! Backstage, MVP was shown watching the match (hmm, could he have plans for one of them?). The match had us a bit disappointed, as we wouldn’t be getting a third round between Komander and Lio Rush tonight. But don’t worry—this confrontation between Komander and Romero was just as thrilling! Komander ended the match with a Shooting Star Press from the ropes, covering Romero for the three count. Backstage, MVP looked impressed—and rightly so!
In another interview, Anna Jay talked about her upcoming no-rules match against Mariah May for the title. Jay explained that the no-rules stipulation would be a game changer, allowing her to do whatever it takes. At that moment, Taya Valkyrie appeared, reminding her that Mariah May is dangerous and that tomorrow, who knows where Jay’s ally Mina will really be? Valkyrie offered her services in exchange for payment. Anna Jay, however, wasn’t interested, preferring to handle her business on her own. Smart decision!

We got a quick match between La Facción Ingobernable (Rush and The Beast Mortos, accompanied by Dralistico) and Alec Price and Richard Holiday. Let’s be honest, it didn’t last long. Dralistico even got involved, though in truth, his teammates didn’t really need his help to win. In the end, La Facción Ingobernable took the victory, with Rush finishing the match with his Bull Horn.
Next, we saw MVP in an interview where he explained why he was here tonight. He said he’s on the lookout for new talent, emphasizing that sometimes people need new management—and sometimes they need to be brought down to learn how to rise again. He cited Swerve Strickland as an example, calling him arrogant for claiming to be AEW’s most dangerous man. That kind of attitude, MVP said, is pure arrogance. Tonight, he’ll be keeping an eye on Ricochet’s match, just as he watched Komander earlier and was impressed by his performance. He also revealed that Komander will face Shelton Benjamin at Collision—a match that will show what Komander is truly made of.
For the main event, we had Ricochet taking on Dante Martin of Top Flight in another amazing match. These guys were flying all over the place, flipping non-stop—you know what to expect from these two! MVP was shown backstage watching the match closely. The bout ended with Ricochet delivering a Clothesline for the win. Afterward, the victor helped his opponent to his feet, congratulating him and celebrating together. Honestly, what a class act!
But tell me, wasn’t everything just a bit too nice and friendly tonight? Don’t count on that lasting for long!

It was Laure with the recap of Rampage!
