Hey everyone, it's Laure live from Luz' with the recap of Rampage from November 8, 2024 !

We had the opening match featuring an encounter between Hikaru Shida on one side and Viva Van on the other, and it had been a while since we'd seen Shida in AEW, that's true. But she came back strong tonight, winning the match with her Falcon Arrow, which secured her the victory.
Next, we head backstage for an interview with Harley Cameron, and I swear, the more I hear her talk, the more I'm convinced she's on something, there's no other explanation! The girl goes on for several minutes about everything she's accomplished over the past few months, until she gets to her recent confrontation with Thunder Rosa. And just as she's about to speak about her future, Renee Paquette stops her, saying, "Sis, we don't have time for your interview, you're talking too much." So, we'll see what the future holds for Cameron!
Back in the ring, we had a 3-Way Tag-Team match featuring Dark Order (tonight it’s Alex Reynolds and John Silver), The Infantry (with Shane Taylor Promotions), and my favorites, Undisputed Kingdom (tonight Mike Bennett and Matt Taven). Well, let's just say that sneaky Lee Moriarty couldn’t resist interfering, distracting Matt Taven to give The Infantry the upper hand.
Did it help in the end? Of course not, because no one can compete with the Undisputed Kingdom! Matt Taven and Mike Bennett finished the match with their signature Powerslam combo, covering Reynolds for the three-count.
But that’s not all, folks! As they were celebrating, Brian Cage’s music hit. Taven and Bennett saw him near the entrance ramp, provoking them from a distance. And at that moment, Lance Archer came up behind them to neutralize them. Unfortunately, it was Bennett who took the brunt of their signature move: the Chokeslam and Powerbomb combo. It's only a matter of time before these two teams clash in the ring!
Backstage, Roderick Strong is being interviewed. I love the guy, but couldn’t he have helped his two friends instead of just watching them get beat down? Anyway, it’s clear Strong didn’t consider that option. He tells us he’s not surprised to see MJF letting Don Callis do his dirty work.

Then, Jake Roberts appears and tells Roderick Strong to stop with his little circus involving The Beast Mortos (you know, the whole recruitment story based on food). Strong says Mortos is his guy, but Roberts responds that Mortos is in the Faccion Ingobernable and needs to be at the top level, so Strong should stay away from him. Strong remembers that he needs to win matches before Full Gear to get his hands on MJF and proposes that he face Mortos tomorrow on Collision.
We then see a video from Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie, where they talk about the people they've gotten revenge on and how sometimes it's more than just revenge – it's a message to send. They explain that they are Vendetta and that others should stay out of their way.
Next up is the penultimate match of the evening: Top Flight (with Action Andretti) against JD Drake and Beef, with Private Party watching the match from backstage. Top Flight has a chance to earn a tag team title opportunity for Full Gear, so I guess the champions want to check out their potential challengers!
And honestly, I had a bad feeling, thinking Action Andretti would do something sneaky, but nope! He just stayed on the sidelines, cheering on his friends when needed and even shook hands with the opponents at the end of the match! Because yes, the result is: Top Flight wins, no real surprise there. But the surprise comes from Andretti; I think they’re slowly building up to his full-on turn.
With that, Lio Rush makes his way to the ring while the guys are still celebrating: it's time for the main event, no time to waste! Just like last week, Rush faces Komander in a second round, and honestly, what a pleasure again! The two put on a great show, and we know where this kind of matchup is headed: this time, Lio Rush gets the win, chaining a Stunner and a Frog Splash, meaning both wrestlers now have one win each.
See you next week for round three?

It was Laure with the recap of Rampage!
