Hey everyone, it's Laure here live from Luz’ with the recap of Impact from November 21, 2024 !

The show kicked off with a no-disqualification match for the TNA Women's Championship: Alisha Edwards challenged Masha Slammovich, and was the suspense at its peak?

Despite smashing the champion onto a chair and even a trash can, Edwards couldn’t stop Slammovich. Masha retaliated with Kendo Stick strikes, followed by a Piledriver to pin the challenger for the three-count.

The action didn’t stop there as Tasha Steelz, Alisha’s ally, attacked the champion. However, Masha has backup too—Jordynne Grace appeared to chase off the pair. This set up a tense face-off between Slammovich and Grace, with the championship belt between them. Why? Because they’re set for a rematch at Turning Point next week, where Grace has a shot at reclaiming her title! Here’s hoping it’s as good as their showdown at Bound for Glory!

Backstage, we find Kushida and The Rascalz, who are set to face the Hardy Brothers and Ace Austin at Turning Point. The team exudes confidence, as The Rascalz are former tag champions, and Kushida is currently the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion (NJPW sure loves long title names!). We’ll see how it all unfolds at Turning Point!

Next up, it’s round two between Spitfire and Ash by Elegance’s crew. This time, Ash faced Jody Threat, and it seems Ash learned from her loss last week. This time, cheating worked! Heather distracted the referee while Ash’s Personal Concierge helped her out of a tough spot in the corner. Ash capitalized with her Rairefied Air finisher on the tag team champion, pinning her for the win. It looks like a tag-team match is the only way to settle this once and for all—and it’s time to make those two eat the floor!

We then move to an in-ring promo from Mike Santana, reflecting on the doubt he’s faced throughout his life. People told him he wasn’t talented enough, good enough, and that he’d never make it out of the streets. But he used those words as fuel, and now he’s one of the best wrestlers out there. And what do the best do? They aim for championships, and that’s exactly what Santana says he wants.

Frankie Kazarian—someone I could’ve done without seeing—comes out, trophy in hand, to trash-talk Santana. He downplays Santana’s victory over Moose, boasting instead about his trophy, which grants him a title shot within the next year. Tonight, he plans to deal with Rhino and then keep an eye on Nic Nemeth’s match at Turning Point.

Santana, unimpressed, fires back, saying he currently doesn’t have a match lined up: "Santino, I know you’re listening backstage. How about this: Kazarian vs. Santana at Turning Point!" The crowd is hyped, I’m hyped, and the exchange ends as Rhino’s music hits.

Now for the Rhino vs. Kazarian match, and let’s just say Frankie lived up to expectations: cheating at every turn. At one point, he grabbed his trophy to use as a weapon, but the referee snatched it away. He tried again with a scarf, only for the ref to take that too. This distraction allowed Frankie to deliver a low blow to Rhino, though it didn’t seal the deal. Kazarian had to stoop even lower, finally rolling up Rhino and using the ropes for leverage to secure the win—much to my dismay.

Of course, Frankie couldn’t resist returning to the ring to flaunt his win and taunt his opponent. But honestly, he should be careful—he’s pushing the wrong people. Sure enough, Rhino charged at him, knocking him down and delighting the crowd (and especially me!).

Next, we get a long video package. Last week, Steve Maclin was seen driving off to an unknown destination, and now we have answers! He first stopped at a bar, sipping his drink with a pensive air. Then, he headed to his motel, and here’s where things started to come together: Eric Young’s words seem to have stirred up memories of war and military service for Maclin.

When he goes to bed, Maclin has a dream of sorts where he finds himself face-to-face with Eric Young, who bombards him with questions like a therapist: "Shall I remind you?", "Is that why you can’t trust me?", "Do you want to fix things?"—it’s all quite vague! The video ends with Maclin being woken up by a knock on his door. When he opens it, Eric Young is standing there. I’m guessing we’ll get more on this next week!

Next up is a tag team match featuring Leon Slater and Laredo Kid against Moose and JDC from The System. Slater and Kid formed a fantastic duo with great moves, and it paid off as they managed to win via a roll-up on JDC. Furious, JDC immediately attacked Slater with Moose’s help. As the two celebrated, Laredo Kid came back with a chair to make them pay and avenge his partner. Though, honestly, he could’ve intervened earlier—maybe Slater wouldn’t have had to endure a Powerbomb!

Joe Hendry then delivered a promo near the entrance ramp, starting by thanking the audience for believing in him. His journey so far has been incredible, and he credits it all to the fans’ support. Though he hasn’t given up on his goal of the TNA title, he expressed disappointment about being placed in a Turkey Bowl match at Turning Point—he should already be champion, after all!

Still, Hendry remains determined. This title means the world to him and to TNA. He emphasized the importance of chasing one’s goals, overcoming obstacles, and forging ahead, because anything is possible when you believe. Inspiring stuff!

Backstage, Nic Nemeth responded to Hendry’s promo, stating that while he still believes in Hendry, his current focus is Eddie Edwards. He’s ready to take on The System at Turning Point, knowing it won’t be easy, but he’s a fighter. He understands what it means to fight for the TNA title, and at Turning Point, he promises to steal the show and remain champion. He better—so he can lose to Hendry later on!

Next was what can only be described as a public execution. Savannah Evans had her first match since returning, facing Brittany Jade, who was utterly dominated throughout the bout. Evans secured an easy win, and now we’re eagerly awaiting tougher opponents for her!

Backstage, we see Masha Slammovich and Jordynne Grace. Grace reminds everyone that they’re set for a rematch at Turning Point for the title. Slammovich proposes a way to make the victory even more decisive: a 2-out-of-3 falls match. Grace loves the idea, and honestly, I can’t wait to see this match!

Finally, we arrive at the evening’s main event: Jake Something, Hammerstone, and Trent Seven vs. Ace Austin and the Hardy Brothers. A cute moment unfolded as Austin donned Jeff Hardy-style face paint to show their camaraderie. The chemistry between the trio was so perfect they even executed a synchronized Twist of Fate!

As the match wound down, Jeff Hardy and Ace Austin dealt with Hammerstone and Something at ringside, giving Matt Hardy a chance to finish Trent Seven. However, Hammerstone broke up the pin just in time! In the ring, Austin faced off against Seven, but when Austin was about to close the match, Seven countered with a low blow (naturally unseen by the referee). Seven then hit a Birming Hammer and secured the win with a pinfall. The villains celebrated their win, planning to make a statement with more post-match chaos, but Kushida and The Rascalz arrived to chase them off. Cowards!

The show concluded with the two heroic teams—set to face each other in a week—showing mutual respect with a handshake.

It was Laure for the Impact recap!
