Hi everyone, it's Laure live from Luz' for the recap of Dynamite from November 13 2024 !

We kicked off the show with action right away: a tag team match featuring Christian Cage (joined by the entire Patriarchy) and Adam Page on one side, and Jay White with Juice Robinson on the other. This definitely gave us a taste of what's coming at Full Gear, though we might see a little less cheating in the big match! Because, yes, bringing along three people when you’re the villain only leads to one thing: interference.
This happened multiple times during the match as White was particularly fired up tonight, making it tough to get the upper hand on him. Nick Wayne and his mom also pitched in with a few distractions. Wayne probably should've kept a low profile because while he was close to the crowd, a hooded figure grabbed him and dragged him backstage. Christian Cage then watched his "son" get taken away by Hook (and, by the way, Kip Sabian, maybe you could have helped?). With his “son” in danger, Cage lost some focus for the rest of the match.
In the end, Robinson was left alone in the ring facing Page. He managed to counter for a pinfall, but the Patriarchy’s matriarch distracted the referee, stalling the count. Sabian followed up with a sneaky briefcase shot that left Robinson dazed. Page then sealed the deal with his Death Eye finisher for the win. Sure, he won tonight, but if I were him, I’d watch out because at Full Gear, he won’t have the entire Patriarchy to save him!
In an interview segment, Renee Paquette tried to ask Mercedes Moné some questions, but Moné cut her off with a snappy, “Girl, don’t start with questions before saying hello.” Paquette attempted to address Moné’s attempted takedown of Statlander last week, but Moné played innocent, saying it wasn't her fault Kamille couldn’t drive! Speaking of Kamille, she was dismissed by the champion for failing to catch her expensive jacket, which now lay on the ground.
Moné finally gave some real answers about Statlander, claiming she wasn’t afraid of her. She recapped what happened at Collision, but in the background, we see a visibly unhappy Kris Statlander. Moné noticed and immediately took off (though supposedly, she’s not scared, right?).
Statlander gave chase, tossing Kamille aside, easily catching up with Moné, and sent both of them crashing through a wall. Wow, that was satisfying! Thank you, Kris, for putting Moné in her place!
Next up, we had a compelling segment: Last week, Will Ospreay returned! He's got things to say, and he’s welcomed by Schiavone, who recaps the recent events. Ospreay states he needs answers, so he’s calling out Kyle Fletcher.
Schiavone steps away as Fletcher enters. While walking down to the ring, Fletcher says he was told not to come alone, but he’s not a coward, unlike Ospreay, who didn’t show up when challenged. Fletcher warns that if Ospreay lays a hand on him, the Don Callis Family will descend on him, sending him back to the hospital for more than three weeks this time.
Ospreay agrees to just talk, emphasizing he wants answers from Kyle, not from Callis. He suspects Fletcher is armed, and, sure enough, Fletcher drops a screwdriver, which Ospreay tosses ringside. “Happy now?” Fletcher sneers.
Ospreay? Happy? Not quite. He reminds Fletcher of all he’s done for him in United Empire and demands real answers, not words from Callis’s mouth.
Fletcher admits Callis opened his eyes to who Ospreay really is: "Yeah, you did a lot for me—gave me a home, fed me—but you did it all for yourself, not for me." Fletcher claims that everything is about Ospreay and that he only ever wanted to prevent Fletcher from equaling him. To him, that makes Ospreay a hypocrite, like he was with Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada.
Ospreay replies that Fletcher can't compare their situations. Yes, Ospreay betrayed Omega and Okada, but he did it after winning three championships—what’s Fletcher accomplished? He repeats, “What have you done, Kyle?”
Fletcher says it’s not about his past actions but about what he’ll do in the future. He’s going to surpass Ospreay and prove it at Full Gear: he wants Kyle Fletcher vs. Will Ospreay. Ospreay laughs, taunting him: “Oh, is that what this is about? Just your few minutes of fame on a PPV?” He adds that Fletcher’s Tiger Driver left him with reduced movement in his arm, taking a piece of him at Wrestledream. At Full Gear, he’s ready to return the favor.
Fletcher responds that was only the beginning; last time he took a piece, but at *Full Gear*, he’s coming for the rest! It’s going to be intense, folks! Speaking of intensity, Brian Cage and Lance Archer arrive, looking to beat up Ospreay, but Ospreay’s got backup too. Powerhouse Hobbs and Mark Davis appear, and a brawl ensues between the two sides!
The fight spills down the entrance ramp, and then Roderick Strong’s music hits. He’s here for his match against Lance Archer, and Archer attacks him right on the ramp! With a Falls Count Anywhere stipulation, the bell rings, and we’re off!

Strong and Archer battle through the crowd. Just as Strong was gaining control, Brian Cage steps in to help Archer—no disqualification, after all! This turns into a wild scene, as Mike Bennett and Matt Taven join the fray to support Strong. Archer and Taven find themselves atop the barricade, where Archer tosses Taven onto security guards trying to restrain him. Archer tries the same with Strong, but Strong escapes and slams Archer groin-first onto the metal barricade. Though Archer is big and tough, this move leaves him incapacitated, and Strong finishes him off with a running knee over the barricade before pinning him for the three-count.
It’s official: my dear Roderick Strong has managed to win three matches before Full Gear, so he’ll be facing MJF in less than two weeks. Speaking of MJF, he obviously watched the match and is, to say the least, pretty disgusted by the outcome. Strong then got on the mic to threaten MJF, but Konosuke Takeshita snuck up behind him and attacked.
Right then, Adam Cole appeared to defend his friend, and since Cole and Takeshita already had a match scheduled for tonight, a referee arrived and called for the bell. What a rapid transition! No time to catch a breath tonight!
I was nervous about this match, given that Cole needs a win heading into Full Gear and, well, Takeshita is no pushover! The guy’s a beast—he’s incredibly strong and holds the International Championship! At one point, maybe feeling unsure of his advantage, he went ringside and grabbed MJF’s big diamond ring, delivering a knockout punch to Cole. Cole was completely dazed and couldn’t get up in time for the three-count.
Victory went to Takeshita, marking a bitter defeat for Cole, who now misses a big opportunity for Full Gear. An upset Strong returned to the ring to go after Takeshita, but the champion swatted him aside with ease (poor Strong!). Meanwhile, MJF was watching from home and getting quite a laugh. Just as Takeshita continued to pummel Strong, Kyle O'Reilly rushed out with a chair, sending the International Champion running. Takeshita smirked near the entrance ramp, but his laughter was short-lived as Ricochet appeared behind him and struck him. AEW sure doesn’t hold back when it comes to chaos!
In the ring, O'Reilly helped Strong to his feet and then turned to Cole, who extended his hand. Kyle hesitated for a moment before leaving the ring without shaking his former friend’s hand.
After all that action, it was time to check in backstage, where the Hurt Syndicate was being interviewed. Renee Paquette tried to ask Bobby Lashley a question, but MVP interrupted, telling her she wasn’t doing her job right and that he’d handle it. Not Renee’s night—no one’s letting her do her job! MVP asked, “How does it feel to prepare to end a man’s career?” Lashley simply replied that he plans to hurt Swerve Strickland badly at Full Gear. And sadly, I think he means it!
Meanwhile, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta made their entrance, beating JD Drake with chairs even though he hadn’t done a thing to provoke them! The rest of the Death Riders entered through the crowd as usual, and Jon Moxley took the mic in the ring: “I’ve been thinking about Orange Cassidy lately…” He noted that Chuck Taylor now has to eat through a straw because Cassidy couldn’t save him, and Yuta now “belongs” to Moxley because Cassidy couldn’t save him either. Now, Cassidy has the chance of a lifetime at *Full Gear*, with all the fans’ expectations weighing on him.
Moxley made it clear: at Full Gear, he plans to make an example of Cassidy. He intends to hurt him so badly that his own mother won’t recognize him. He wants to shatter him so thoroughly that anyone in the locker room who ever thought they could be somebody will flee and hide, allowing the Death Riders to continue their reign unchallenged.
Cassidy’s music hit, and he arrived with his friends, Mark Briscoe and Rocky Romero. Cassidy agreed with Moxley, admitting that he fully believes Moxley can do everything he says because he holds the title, the very symbol of AEW. Cassidy explained that he could fight Moxley anywhere—in a parking lot or a locker room—but to win a title, he has to wrestle.
He then reminded Moxley, “Remember, buddy? I already beat you once.” He intends to do the same at Full Gear to become the AEW Champion. But in the meantime, he’s got unfinished business with Wheeler Yuta. Next week, he’ll take Moxley’s “pawn” by facing Yuta in a match.
“You want Yuta?” Moxley replied. “Then let’s see if you have the guts to pull the trigger on someone you think is your friend.” Moxley delivered one last warning to Cassidy and his friends: “At Full Gear, abandon all hope!”
The Death Riders left through the crowd, only to be ambushed by Darby Allin, who leapt down from an upper section of the audience. A brawl erupted between the Death Riders and the Conglomeration.
Moxley managed to escape with Marina Shafir, both hopping into a pickup truck, followed by Castagnoli, who got in the driver’s seat. They were inches from leaving Yuta behind (not cool!) when Darby Allin jumped onto the truck, forcing them to stop. Castagnoli got out to take care of Allin, allowing Yuta to climb aboard. Yuta really should realize by now that he’s being used and deserves better than this!
The Learning Tree was up next for an interview, where they were asked about Tomohiro Ishii’s challenge for a Ring of Honor title match in Chicago. Big Bill seemed pumped, saying challenges build character. Jericho also accepted, noting that he and Ishii know each other well and have had a great match in Chicago before. He went on to remind everyone of his achievements, slipping in yet another reference to Jay Briscoe (seriously, he’s never letting that go!).
Then we finally got back to some in-ring action with a match between Britt Baker, DMD, and Penelope Ford. Ford played mind games, getting in and out of the ring to gain the upper hand on Baker. The tactic worked for a while, as Ford managed to keep control for a good portion of the match, countering Baker’s comebacks while staying focused.
Baker eventually brought out her signature glove, slipping it on, but Ford saw it coming and caught Baker in a submission hold. Baker didn’t give up and quickly reversed it into her own submission, which Ford couldn’t withstand, ultimately tapping out. Baker’s victory was followed by Serena Deeb’s arrival at the entrance ramp, setting up a face-off that hints at a future rivalry between them.
Backstage, Mina Shirakawa, who’s back in AEW, was asked if she’d returned to see Mariah May: “Of course! I miss her so much!” Shirakawa said she was here to watch her friend’s match against Anna Jay at Collision and was sure they’d celebrate with champagne after her win!

Enter Harley Cameron, a.k.a. *la-meuf-qui-a-un-pète-au-casque* (the girl who’s a bit bonkers). She kicks things off by pointing out that apparently people are calling Mina Shirakawa the “Harley Cameron of Japan,” so why not settle things between them at Collision? Both wrestlers are all in on the idea, and they even break out into a dance, with Renee Paquette awkwardly caught in the middle, not quite sure where to stand! These girls are wild, and I’m here for it!
Next up is the match between Swerve Strickland and Lio Rush. Rush has been fired up lately and wanted a big challenge, so who better to face than his old buddy and former AEW champ? Rush was determined to win, bringing an aggressive edge to his moves and capitalizing on every opportunity to inflict damage and gain an advantage.
But Strickland’s no lightweight—Rush couldn’t shake him off so easily. When things got heated, Rush turned to the dark side, attempting to cheat by grabbing the ropes during a pin. But Prince Nana pointed it out to the referee, escalating the tension. Swerve then took control, finishing with his signature Big Pressure and covering Rush for the three-count. Better luck next time, Lio—this was a challenge too big for you!
After the match, Strickland grabbed a mic to call out all the people trying to take him down since his return. From Lio Rush to Shelton Benjamin, everyone seems to be after his spotlight. “I think it’s time I remind everyone that this is Swerve’s house, and at Full Gear, Bobby will get that reminder loud and clear…”
Bobby Lashley and MVP entered, having heard Strickland’s challenge. MVP responded, saying that if Strickland wants a match with someone from the Hurt Syndicate, all he has to do is ask—they’ll happily arrange it. He explained that they had wanted to recruit Swerve because he had something special, but he missed an essential lesson: power lies in numbers. Tonight, they’d be reinforcing that lesson.
Suddenly, Shelton Benjamin attacked Strickland from behind, kicking off a beatdown of the former AEW champ. Prince Nana was taken down too, and Strickland was left unconscious in the ring. Security showed up but wisely decided not to interfere in the Hurt Syndicate’s business. Notably, Lio Rush watched from ringside without stepping in, making it clear that he’s not interested in getting on the Hurt Syndicate’s bad side.
Backstage, Jamie Hayter was interviewed about her future. She hinted that she’s sticking to her plans and that her return would be driven by a purpose… when suddenly, the screen cut to black. Sorry, Jamie! A video of Julia Hart started playing, teasing her return with a voice urging Hart to awaken. The production quality is spot-on as always, making her return even more exciting!
Finally, it’s time for tonight’s main event! Private Party made their entrance and settled in at their VIP section near the two tunnels, ready to watch the action unfold. Tonight’s bout is a qualifying match for Full Gear! The Kings of the Black Throne are set to take on FTR, with the winners earning a shot at the tag team titles. Let me tell you, I’m rooting for King and Black to win (what can I say? My gothic side demands it)!
But it was a tough road to victory—Malakai Black got tossed around for a good stretch by both FTR members. Then Brody King finally entered the ring and cleared house, even landing a Cannonball on Harwood and Wheeler. OUH! OUH! OUH!
Brody King, however, was shocked by FTR’s resilience; even after a Suicide Dive at ringside and a couple of Clotheslines, Dax Harwood somehow found the strength to lift his shoulder. Not one to give up, King lifted him once more and locked him in a Sleeper Hold. Harwood was out cold, and the referee called the match, declaring the Kings of the Black Throne the winners!
They’ll be joining Private Party and The Outrunners in the Full Gear match, with one team slot left. Who will join them—La Faccion Ingobernable or The Acclaimed? We’ll have to tune into Collision to find out!

That was Laure with the Dynamite recap!
