Hi everyone, it's Laure live from Luz' for the recap of Dynamite from November 13 2024 !

The show kicked off with a big match: an 8-Man Tag Team Match featuring the Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher, Lance Archer, Brian Cage, and Konosuke Takeshita) on one side and the alliance of Will Ospreay, Mark Davis, Ricochet, and Powerhouse Hobbs on the other.
The two teams started brawling before the match officially began, which was expected given their rivalry. Poor Hobbs had his leg smashed—trapped in the outside steel steps, with Cage slamming Ospreay onto it. It was unpleasant for both men, to say the least.
Hobbs’ leg injury was severe enough that a doctor had to escort him backstage, leaving his teammates to finish the fight. Despite Ospreay’s brilliance and the strong efforts from Ricochet and Davis, the 3-on-4 disadvantage left their team at a loss. The Don Callis Family kept gaining the upper hand.
But who comes back, hobbling? Hobbs wasn’t done yet. Limping back into the ring, he cleaned house to support his teammates. It could have been a game-changer, but unfortunately, Ospreay accidentally hit his partner Mark Davis. Fletcher took advantage to eliminate Ospreay, and Takeshita ended the match with a Running Knee and a pinfall victory over Davis. Fletcher celebrated, but the message was clear: Saturday's one-on-one showdown will be the real test.
Backstage, the Death Riders appeared with Jon Moxley addressing Orange Cassidy. Once again, Moxley labeled Cassidy a cunning snake, insisting it didn’t matter whether Cassidy was a good or bad person. When the bell rings Saturday with the title on the line, Cassidy would become a threat to everyone. (Who are you defending, Moxley, yourself or others?) He vowed to make Cassidy suffer before stepping into the ring.
Claudio Castagnoli, set to face Darby Allin later, declared he would crush him. Classic Death Riders. Allin fired back, saying every Death Rider member would pay for what they did to Danielson and Taylor—and today was Castagnoli’s day.
Over in the parking lot, the Hurt Syndicate arrived. MVP announced Bobby Lashley’s AEW debut match tonight, but the interview was cut short when Swerve Strickland ambushed Lashley with a chain before fleeing. Well played, Swerve.
Back in the ring, Adam Cole shared his regret about missing out on facing MJF at Full Gear. He admitted MJF had succeeded in sidelining him from the match, but he wasn’t the only one winning: Roderick Strong had too. Cole noted that he and Strong shared a common goal—to destroy MJF.
Kyle O’Reilly’s music hit, and fans hoped for a real confrontation. After weeks of lurking, what did O’Reilly actually think? He didn’t mince words: “Man, we’ve been through a lot, but I’ve gotta be honest—you need to stop with MJF.” O’Reilly explained he didn’t want anyone to get hurt and that Strong’s desire to destroy MJF stemmed from Cole’s obsession. When Cole asked if O’Reilly doubted Strong’s ability (not the point!), O’Reilly countered that it was dangerous to mess with MJF, who was more devious than Cole would ever be. O’Reilly left without another word, leaving fans to wonder if his warning would sink in.
Backstage, Orange Cassidy commented on Jon Moxley and Full Gear. Tonight, Wheeler Yuta would serve as an example, and Saturday, Cassidy vowed to beat Moxley one-on-one. The Conglomeration, led by a fired-up Mark Briscoe, promised to have Cassidy’s back since the Death Riders had numbers. Cassidy, uncharacteristically serious, raised his voice: “Please, I’m not asking you to understand, but promise me you’ll stay out of it.” Is Cassidy trying to be a lone hero against the Death Riders? Ever heard of “Unity makes strength"? No?
The second match of the night featured Hikaru Shida against Kris Statlander in a hard-fought battle. Neither wrestler backed down, but when Shida attempted her finisher, Statlander countered with her Saturday Night Fever for the three-count.
As they shook hands in sportsmanship, Mercedes Moné’s music hit. She appeared alongside her lackey Kamille, first insulting the city and then reminding everyone she held the TBS Championship longer than Statlander ever could. She vowed to remain champion after Saturday’s match. As Moné moved to ringside near the steps, she turned to Kamille, whose arm was in a sling, and ordered her to attack Statlander.

Poor Kamille hesitated, reluctantly obeying (stand up for yourself, girl!) as she tried to attack Statlander. Of course, Kris and Hikaru Shida, who was still at ringside, quickly ejected her from the ring. Moné attempted a Back Stabber on Statlander, but Statlander countered and hit her Saturday Night Fever on the champion. Kris grabbed the championship belt and posed with it—let's hope this is a prophetic image for Full Gear!
Backstage, the Hurt Syndicate attacked someone dressed like Swerve Strickland but quickly realized it wasn’t him. Tough luck, guys!
A video recap of the Jay White vs. Adam Page rivalry was shown to hype up their Full Gear clash before we returned to the ring for Bobby Lashley’s AEW debut match. It wasn’t just any match; it was a handicap bout against Joe Keys and Cheeseburger (seriously, what’s with that name?). The two hesitated over who would face Lashley first, so Lashley made the choice for them, destroying one and quickly dispatching both in under five minutes.
As Lashley celebrated in the ring, Swerve Strickland’s music hit, and Prince Nana appeared holding a chair. This distracted Shelton Benjamin, who moved toward the ramp, allowing Strickland to ambush Lashley from under the ring with a steel chain. Swerve unleashed a devastating House Call and Double Stomp on Lashley before fleeing. Benjamin returned to the ring too late to stop him. Swerve looks more than ready for Full Gear!
In an interview, Mina Shirakawa and Mariah May hyped their upcoming champagne celebration on Saturday and a match at Rampage. The champion boasted that she takes mediocrity and turns it into brilliance, while Mina expressed pride in her friend. They promised to transform the show into “Glam-Page,” finishing their promo with a little dance.
Next, it was time for Claudio Castagnoli vs. Darby Allin. True to form, Allin endured some brutal punishment, taking the worst of it before rallying with his wild style. At one point, he bit Castagnoli to regain some control. It worked briefly, but Castagnoli wasn’t out of it for long. He delivered a Giant Swing on ringside, slamming Allin into the steel steps.
Frustrated with Allin’s resilience, Castagnoli climbed the commentary table with him, lifted him, and threw him onto another table. Returning to the ring, Castagnoli hoped to win via count-out, but somehow, Allin made it back at the last second. Annoyed, Castagnoli delivered a vicious Lariat and pinned Allin for the three-count. Safe to say, this wasn’t the outcome Darby envisioned when he said it was Castagnoli’s day!
Backstage, the AEW Tag Team Champions, Private Party, addressed their Full Gear match. Acknowledging the stipulation wasn’t in their favor, they reminded everyone how they defeated the Young Bucks to win the titles against the odds and vowed to retain. They were joined by Big Boom AJ and Big Justice, who teased a big announcement.
Before that, a video aired featuring MJF arriving in a luxury car in a remote area. MJF dug deep into Roderick Strong’s troubled childhood, mentioning alcoholic parents and a mother who shot Strong’s father (just casually dropping heavy stuff). MJF theorized that Strong clings to Adam Cole and goes to such lengths for him because he’s seeking safety and to fill a void. MJF admitted he once felt the same with Cole.
But Cole is a liar. MJF then coldly declared that he was glad Strong earned his shot at Full Gear because he would destroy him so completely that Strong might wish his mother had shot him instead of his father. Harsh.
The mood shifted as Big Boom AJ and Big Justice returned with their announcement: AJ will face QT Marshall in the Full Gear pre-show. AJ revealed that when he wins, The Rizzler will ring the bell to celebrate. See you Saturday!
At the ramp, Tony Schiavone welcomed the Undisputed Kingdom, giving Roderick Strong a chance to respond to MJF’s harsh words. Strong admitted he couldn’t believe this opportunity was happening, comparing his excitement to a kid at Christmas. Addressing MJF directly, Strong said, “You think I should be ashamed of my childhood? Man, I’ve heard that my whole life!”
Strong then flipped the narrative, expressing pity for MJF. He explained that he learned to break the cycle by earning his way, while Max had everything handed to him. Strong challenged MJF to look in the mirror and reflect on everyone he’s manipulated, betrayed, and hurt. At Full Gear, Strong vowed to make him pay for every single one.
A clip aired from after Collision showing the fallout involving Daddy Magic, Daniel Garcia, and Jack Perry. After Perry was kidnapped and tied to the hood of his truck, the video cut to an abandoned warehouse where Perry was tied to a chair, facing his truck. Amused, Perry taunted Garcia, “Playing the good guy, huh? Look where we are.”
Garcia admitted he hadn’t wanted things to go this far but was provoked by Perry’s actions last week. Perry spit in Garcia’s face, prompting him to grab a crowbar. Instead of striking Perry, Garcia smashed the champion’s truck. Perry mocked him again, asking, “Is that all?” Garcia left without responding, leaving Perry bound in the warehouse. Let’s hope he finds a way out before Saturday.
Finally, the contract signing for next week’s Ring of Honor title match between Tomohiro Ishii and Chris Jericho took place. Jericho refused to sign immediately, claiming his team needed to review the contract. Renee Paquette pointed out that the contract had already been sent to his team, but Jericho insisted, taking the contract to "verify" with his lawyers.

We see him leaving, walking through the corridors, and at the same time as him, we notice that Ishii is following him. The moment is quite funny: both of them walking through the arena, Jericho growing more nervous while Ishii stays completely calm.
This continues until they reach the ring, where Jericho, cornered, exclaims: "Ishii my buddy, I’d love to sign this contract, but I don’t have a pen." No problem—Ishii pulls one out of his pocket and hands it to him.
Reluctantly, Jericho ends up signing the contract. Then Big Bill and Bryan Keith show up to attack Ishii. Jericho tries to stab (a strong word!) him with the pen, but the Conglomeration comes to their friend’s rescue, clearing the ring of the Learning Tree and allowing Ishii to sign the contract himself. The match is now official!
We move to Jamie Hayter’s interview with Renee, who asks for her thoughts on being interrupted last week by Julia Hart’s video. Hayter admits she isn’t angry, just curious about Hart’s actions: they’ve never fought together, they’ve never had a falling-out, so she’s simply intrigued. If Hart wants to talk, she…
The interview is once again cut short by another video from Julia Hart, teasing her return, which seems closer than ever. Full Gear, perhaps?
Finally, it’s time for the main event of the evening: Wheeler Yuta vs. Orange Cassidy, student vs. mentor. Yuta is completely unhinged, repeatedly targeting Cassidy’s neck with particularly vicious moves. He delivers a Brainbuster on the outer barricade and slams Cassidy’s head into the exposed metal ropes at the ring post after removing the padding. Not exactly sportsmanship...
Realizing the tone of the match, Cassidy resorts to underhanded tactics himself: biting Yuta, scratching his back, and hitting a Superplex from the corner. Yuta becomes so enraged that he completely loses it, grabs a chair, and attempts to hit Cassidy. Cassidy dodges and wins the match with a Roll-Up, leaving Yuta utterly shocked.
The two former friends come face-to-face, but before anything can happen, Pac runs in to attack Cassidy. The entire Death Riders faction appears, taping Cassidy’s hands into his pockets. They proceed to beat him down, with Cassidy still taunting them, mocking Jon Moxley with his trademark gimmicks.
The Death Riders leave Cassidy on the mat and exit through the crowd. The Conglomeration arrives to free their friend, who struggles to his feet. Moxley glares at Cassidy from a distance, and Cassidy takes the opportunity to provoke him one last time, placing his hands in his pockets himself.
The Full Gear main event is going to be explosive—I’m telling you!

That was Laure with the Dynamite recap!
