The last time we talked, we were dreaming big about the potential return of our beloved Toni Storm, and now what? What's going on? The wrestler in question gave an interview to SB Nation in which she discussed her future and, most importantly, the end of her career!

SB Nation Interview
What exactly did Toni Storm say to SB Nation? Well, the former AEW champion simply announced that she’s done with wrestling (excuse me?). She apologized to everyone for being such a failure, saying she’s not used to losing but hasn’t been able to stop lately: "I lost in AEW. I lost in Japan. I lost in Mexico. This is the last time you’ll hear about me. Enjoy Mariah as champion."
Storm went even further, stating that AEW is doing wonderfully without her and doesn’t need her. But what about me, Toni? Did you think about me?! The former champion continued to talk about Mariah May, her former protégé, with whom she had been at the top for a long time: "Mariah then came onto the scene, and everything went downhill," she said. So the message seems clear: Toni Storm and wrestling are over!

Full Gear 2024
Well, "done" is a strong word because let's not forget Full Gear is coming up this weekend! On the schedule, we have a champagne celebration for Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa. It’s not out of the question to think that Toni Storm might make an appearance, officially marking her return for good, with this interview obviously just serving as a smokescreen. Believe me, we’ll see Toni on Saturday!
You’ve got it—while the former champion’s words seem pretty strong, there’s a good chance they’re just part of her storyline with Mariah May.
See you Saturday to see if that’s true!
